Mary Kate Pedigo, Founder
Saguaro West is a lifestyle brand celebrating slow living, heritage recipes, and the art of creating homes that hold stories. Based in rural Polk County, Texas, we explore the rituals and rhythms that make everyday life meaningful—from bread rising on Saturday mornings to afternoon reading in perfect light, from grandmother's handwritten recipes to spaces that welcome gathering without performance.
Founded by Mary Kate Pedigo, Saguaro West bridges old-world elegance and refined western heritage with European sensibility. With backgrounds in photography, communications, and graphic design, Mary Kate brings an artist's eye to both visual storytelling and spatial design, understanding how light, texture, and composition create environments that feel collected over generations rather than decorated in a moment.
Our Philosophy
We believe in the harmony between old and new, beauty and function, aspiration and livability. Homes should support the lives lived within them—kitchens designed for cooking heritage recipes from scratch, reading corners that invite literary afternoons, spaces that honor tradition while embracing the everyday rituals that matter.
Saguaro West explores timeless interiors through the lens of lifestyle. We share recipes passed down through generations, slow living practices rooted in seasonal awareness, book recommendations that inspire, and design wisdom that prioritizes substance over trends. Our content celebrates creating rather than consuming, quality that improves with age, and the quiet luxury of materials chosen to last.
Our Roots
Mary Kate lives in rural Texas with her husband and two children. Her husband's family has been in the retail furniture business since the 1950s, bringing generational knowledge of quality furnishings and enduring design. Together, they're raising their family with connection to land and seasons, honoring ranch traditions while cultivating a life of deliberate beauty and purpose.
Here, there is cutting flowers, preserving seasonal abundance, and cooking from grandma’s recipe cards. We gather around tables and laugh until it hurts. We read voraciously, collect with intention, and build spaces that breathe calm.
Whether you're in Texas or anywhere across the country, we invite you to explore life lived with greater intention—through heritage recipes, literary pursuits, seasonal awareness, and spaces designed for the way you actually want to live.
