Vodka Pasta
without the vodka.
This is a frequent request in our household. It’s adapted from a similar recipe I saw on TikTok. Our kids love to ask for it!
INGREDIENTS
1/4 cup olive oil
3 tbs. minced garlic
2/3 cup tomato paste
red pepper flakes, to taste
1-1/2 cup heavy cream
3 tsp. dried basil
1 tsp. Italian seasoning
3/4 tsp. pepper
salt, to taste
1-2 cups parmesan
1 lb. rigatoni
3 tbs. butter
1/4 cup pasta water
Protein of your choice
DIRECTIONS
Sauté garlic in olive oil. Add tomato paste and heavy cream. Add seasonings. Add parmesan cheese. Cook protein of your choice. Cook pasta according to package and mix with sauce. Add butter and pasta water until you reach your preferred consistency.
Note: Our kids like chicken or shrimp best with this pasta, but we’ve done sausage, too.
